Yeah, that's the publication and I've never really paid attention to it.

The distinction is that the pub isn't getting paid for publishing my article, whereas Instacart is getting paid by me to deliver my groceries, and then asking me to tip on top of that charge.

A good analogy would be if Medium itself were asking you to tip the writers on top of your six bucks a month. That would be exactly the same, although I'd keep writing anyway and be glad to get the tips, because that's the world we live in.,
