Yeah, like I said there's a long chain of assumptions in here and clearly AI ain't climbing hydro poles anytime soon, but given how fast we've moved with AI, I legit don't think even the most far-fetched of ideas can be dismissed. I have a short story in mind where AI takes over and uses collaborating humans known as "Renfields" to do much of their dirty work.

In any case I'm intrigued by the particularly woo-woo idea of a conscious universe pointing us in this direction.
