To me the story is sad because we can identify with people sitting in the sub, waiting to die and not being able to change it, not being able to get last words to comfort their families, not even able to see the sun. Billionaire or not, it sucks pretty hard. But lots of people die, I guess. Everyone, eventually, although I remain optimistic.
