My view is that we’ve been downplaying the risks for decades and it’s led to inaction and disaster. Anyone who reads this book then shrugs and decides to do nothing because we’re all fucked wasn’t going to do anything anyway. I do agree we have nothing to lose by trying to fix things; if it’s a doomed effort it’s a noble one.
