I've had cards stolen before and what happens is they do an investigation and then reverse the charges. In my experience it shouldn't take more than a week - still a pain in the ass though. Given that two purchases went through while I was on hold trying to cancel the card, I'm not owning it.

What I'd like to see, though, is the case investigated and the thief caught.
