I want you to know I always use the French pronunciation in my mind :).

My middle name is Fraser after my great grandfather, which is reasonable. What puzzles me is why his name was Fraser, which is Scottish, when his parents were both German. My dad inherited the name although he never used it as an adult, preferring to go by HIS middle name, Kirk. His folks always called him Fritz. Yeah, I'd have gone with Kirk too.
