I only know one right-winger, a friend and a very smart guy but totally immune to critical thinking. When faced with incontrovertible facts that disagree with his worldview he'll just ignore them. The exaggerated stereotype I'm riffing on here is based on stuff from right-wing media, which I make myself look at so I can understand what I'm satirizing.
