I admire your optimism but don't agree on this one. In fact, while the industrial revolution created a lot of jobs, it definitely replaced the horses.

We're about to reach endgame, where the machines will be able to do anything humans can do, and better. There are no new jobs coming.

In theory, we should all benefit from the AI revolution and be able to park ourselves on yachts and sip champagne, but that's not how wealth gets distributed in our society.

There's also the larger risk of a "power-seeking" AI destroying all of us -- I've been doing a ton of reading and this is nowhere near as far-fetched as I imagined. The most knowledgeable experts in the field see it as a real possibility.
