Hi John — I am not, as you may have gathered, a Christian but I’ve always been moved by the humanity of the story and the underlying symbolism. It’s funny you should make this comment because I just started a story last night about how the end of the world is always happening, and always has been. It’s a thought piece, not satire, and it’s not dissimilar to what you’re saying.
