He was born in Oct 2012 and started Gr 1 in Sept 2018, just about two months before he turned 6. I’m certain of this because:

a) I was present for both events

b) I have multiple supporting Facebook posts

c)I can count backward from 9 to 6

As long as you turn 6 during the calendar year that school begins, you go to Gr 1.
