Fiction is my favourite thing to write, but it’s not most Mediumites favourite thing to read, which is part of the reason I invest more mental energy into spinning up satire and disaster porn.
But as Hallowe’en approaches and the veil between the worlds thins, we view life more through the lens of imagination. After all, it’s in the dimly lit recesses of our minds that our most terrible fears hide.
In that seasonal spirit, I present four short works of horror fiction — and one true story — for your consideration.
