For my money (and to be clear, there is no money at stake) the best series was not the original but "Be Cool, Scooby Do' which ran from 2014 to 2018 on Cartoon Network, although I saw it later on Netflix. It had all the standard Scooby tropes along with tongue-in-cheek element that appealed to me as an adult. Very different animation style though.
