Agree 100% with everything you've said. I studied martial arts for years, and I'm trying to instill in Conall the same kind of values you describe above. There are always going to be violent assholes in the world, and we need to be able to defend ourselves. But of course we need to do everything in our power to make sure that our kids don't become those violent assholes.
